Great experience at this clinic, Sam is very knowledgable and able to pinpoint the problem and provided me with custom steps for a complete rehab.

A little background... I had spent what felt like endless hours training to run my first marathon only to get near to race day and find myself suffering from Runner's Knee which then caused an IT band (hip) injury - I was feeling defeated. I am lucky to know Sam Down who instructed me with a number of exercises/stretches that would help and he suggested to tape my knee in 2 different ways to allow me to 'try-out' and figure out which one would be most comfortable for the long race. He used KT tape - which is a stretchy tape that allowed more movement while still holding my knee and he also used a more rigid tape which made movement more restricted but felt very comfortable to run with. I opted to have my knee taped with both for race day - I was very nervous about pain and Sam just smiled and taped it with both. Race day came and I ran my first marathon with almost no discomfort in my injured knee and hip (IT band) other than being completely exhausted! Couldn't believe it! I am so glad I had my consult with Sam where he encouraged me and helped me believe I could still do it. I highly recommend FSM Physiotherapy!
